The Heisman Trophy is awarded each year
to the most outstanding player in college football,
by the New York City Downtown Athletic Club. Named for
legendary coach John Heisman, Ohio State has had six
players win seven trophies, tied with USC &
Notre Dame for the most Heisman trophies won by players at their schools. Additionally, Archie Griffin is the
only two-time winner:
