Presented to the OUtstanding defensive player by the FWAA/Charlotte TD Club. The award in named in honor of Nagurski, whom many considerone of the greatest college player ever. A tackle, and a fullback, a defensive end and an offensive end, linebacker and a passer, Bronislau "Bronko" Nagurski's talents were legendary. He was a consensus all-American defensive tackle in 1929,and also made all-America teams that year as a fullback, the only man ever picked at two positions. To date, only one OSU player has won the Bronko Nagurski Award.
